I mean--yes and no? I think it's moreso that we're so small that everything seems like a lot. Hell, I freak out when I get crumbs in my bed. There are way bigger problems in the world, too.

So to have that on top of whatever magical stuff you have to deal with. . .I don't think I could do it.

I think it's easier. When all you see are the big things, it's easy to focus. One large obstacle is easier than a thousand small ones, even if that one is made of smaller parts, it's still a clear role.

Hm. . .not really? It's not that I'm disappointed, just a bit tired. There's been a lot of emotional whiplash, and if I get another memory thinking that all my friends are dead only for them to be fine in the next, I might have a breakdown.

. . .saying it outloud, that sounds kind of trivial. I'm glad for it, honestly. Didn't expect to be a conartist, but this is what goes along with it.

What were you expecting then?

I just thought I was a normal guy with a quiet, normal life. Or, that's what I wanted anyway. [leans back]

But anyone like that wouldn't be here. There'd be nothing for us to bargain our souls for. So that means I'm probably waiting to remember something I want--the same goes for you.
